Orcieres, in France (in the Alpes due Sud region), is a large resort with 33 lifts (including 10 chair lifts, 3 of which are Télémix®, & 20 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 875 metres (2870 feet) of vertical descent. Orcieres has 51 pistes. Orcieres is best suited to beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for advanced skiers. There's 43 kilometers of cross country ski trails at Orcieres. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. A fair proportion of the pistes at Orcieres are covered by snow-making. The nearest airport is at Marseille and the nearest train station to Orcieres is at Gap. There is accommodation located close to the pistes but we would welcome additional information about any hotels or chalets in Orcieres.
