Suhara in Japan (located in the Niigata prefecture) is a small ski resort with just 4 ski lifts but it does boast a respectable 346 metres (1135 feet) of vertical descent. Suhara has 7 pistes. Suhara is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. We have no information about the existence of any cross country ski trails at Suhara.. The nearest train station to Suhara is at Echigo-Suhara.

Absolutely fantastic resort for all levels. Deep snow, fast lifts, cheap food, very friendly and welcoming staff. Great variety of pistes too, offering spectacular views. Good music and events, often with live DJs. Free parking, only 50 minutes drive from Nagaoka city.
