Hachimantai in Japan (located in the Iwate prefecture) is a very small ski resort with just three ski lifts but it does boast a respectable 500 metres (1640 feet) of vertical descent. Hachimantai has 10 pistes. Hachimantai is evenly suited for both advanced and intermediate skiers and snowboarders but with some terrain for beginners. We have no information about the existence of any cross country ski trails at Hachimantai. For snowboarders, there are one or more half pipes.. The nearest train station to Hachimantai is at Morioka.
