Blue Knob, in the United States (Pennsylvania State), is a medium sized ski resort with 6 ski lifts (4 chair lifts, 2 surface lifts) that offers skiers a respectable 321 metres (1052 feet) of vertical descent. Blue Knob has 82 acres of terrain over 34 trails. Blue Knob is evenly suited for both advanced and intermediate skiers and snowboarders but with some terrain for beginners. Cross country ski trails can be found Blue Knob. For snowboarders, there are one or more terrain parks. The majority of the trails at Blue Knob are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Pittsburgh.

Blue Knob is amazing as far as Pennsylvania can take it. Unlike other local resorts you can actually get some burn in your calves here. The Knob has some awesome glades and steeps (they had 2 small avalanches on some of the expert terrain, the last time I was there, since when do we get avalanches in PA?) and when it storms this place takes the cake. To my knowledge this place has the best and most varied terrain in PA. Blue Knob does not have much of a terrain park but the natural terrain will make up for that. Beware, this is PA and our weather usually sucks so this place is only really good when the weather is.
